    In this vital role, you will be a key leader in guiding and supporting Case Managers and Case Aides, ensuring that children and youth in our care receive the highest level of support on their journey to reunification with their families. The ALCM will play a critical role in mentoring, quality assurance, training, and providing essential oversight to the Case Management Department.
    Key Responsibilities:

    • Mentoring & Training: Lead the onboarding and ongoing training of new Case Managers and Case Aides. Provide continuous guidance to ensure adherence to all policies, procedures, and best practices.
    • Quality Assurance: Conduct daily and weekly quality assurance checks to ensure caseloads, assessments, and documentation are complete and compliant with required standards.
    • Reunification Support: Collaborate with the Lead Case Manager to coordinate the safe and timely reunification of youth, ensuring all required documentation and steps are completed within mandated timeframes.
    • Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as a point of contact for ORR/Federal Field Staff, consulates, legal service providers, and other stakeholders in the absence of the Lead Case Manager.
    • Case Review: Perform in-depth case reviews and ensure that all assessments, legal requirements, and incident reports are properly documented in the UC Portal and internal software systems.
    • Team Collaboration: Participate in weekly staffing meetings, treatment team meetings, and collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless coordination of care.
    Qualifications:
    Education Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Sciences, Human Services, Social Services, or a related field.
    Experience Requirements:
    • At least 2 years of progressive employment experience in case management or social services, demonstrating supervisory, training, mentoring, or quality assurance experience.
    • Experience working with children and youth in a shelter, foster care, or social services environment is preferred.
    • Experience supervising a team in a fast-paced social service setting is a plus.
    • Previous experience with documentation and compliance with licensing rules and policies, especially related to youth care and reunification processes, is a benefit.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management software is essential.
    • Experience in a shelter setting or similar environment is a plus, including internships or volunteer positions.
    Additional Skills and Abilities:
    • Language Requirements: Fluency in English and Spanish is required. Other languages are a plus.
    • Leadership and Communication: Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills with the ability to mentor and train others.
    • Technical Proficiency: Ability to use tablets, laptops, and various software systems for documentation and communication.

    Standard Requirements:
    • Age: Must be 21 years of age or older to work directly with youth.
    • Background Checks: Must pass child protective services checks, criminal background checks, and meet all other state and federal requirements.
    • Certifications: Must obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid and Managing Aggressive Behavior (NRCYS) certification.
    • Physical Requirements: Must be able to engage in activities such as standing, walking, lifting (up to 25 lbs.), and sitting for extended periods.
